Lalo García's decade-old Juárez brasserie-the first real French in CDMX, still the standard. Chef Lalo García (Máximo) opened Havre 77 over a decade ago as Mexico City's first properly executed French brasserie, and it still holds that title. Zinc-trimmed bar, leather banquettes, tiled floors, and a menu that runs from escargots and onion soup to grilled steak with béarnaise, seared foie gras, côte de boeuf, and tarte Tatin. Dressed-up but unfussy-the kind of place locals return to for every major life event.
